Koronavirus ja lintuilu - Corona virus and birding

 Englis below
Eilen aamulla varhain kuulin pikkutikan nopean rummutuksen. Kuinka vaikea sitä oli nähdä! Sillä on hyvä suojaväri. Löydätkö pikkutikan näistä kuvista:

Can you find a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in these pictures?

Tringa-verkossa on jaettu linkkiä kansainväliseen tutkimukseen, jossa selvitetään miten koronavirus on vaikuttanut lintuharrastukseen. En tiedä yhtään enempää tästä tutkimuksesta. Vastasin siihen. Käykääpä vastaamassa ko. kyselyyn, jos pari minuuttia liikenee aikaa:

Käpytikka/Great Spotted Woodpecker

Minun kohdalla virus on vaikuttanut lintuiluun totaalisesti, koska Helsingissä on joka paikassa niin paljon ihmisiä liikkeellä, eivätkä he oikein välitä mahdollistaa toisille kahden metrin turvaväliä. Niin en sitten ole päässyt lintuilemaan laisinkaan.

Mustarastas/Blackbird

Early, yesterday morning I heard Lesser Spotted woodpecker drumming. How hard it was to see it! It’s got a good protective color.

In Tringa network (ornithological society) has a link to research: how the corona virus has affected to birding. This research is global and the professors hope that as many birders as possible all around the globe will answer their questions (Prof. Christoph Randler Tubingen, Germany. Prof. Piotr Tryjanowski Poznan, Polish. FT Jukka Jokimäki Rovaniemi, Finland). I answered the questions. This is the link to this research:

  1. I had to look for a while until I saw him on the tree trunk. There you can see how the great spotted woodpecker is well camouflaged. These are great scenes and the male blackbird!
    Great this action!!!

    Greetings Elke

  2. Hello Anu,
Beautiful series of photos of the woodpecker.
    The blackbird is also beautiful.
    I enjoyed the photos.

  3. I tried to find out where the woodpecker is hiding but I couldn't find … :((
I think the birds don't get sick of COVID-19 ... they are other diseases that humanity has created for them!
    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. Hello Anu, I found your woodpecker. Great find! It does kind of blend in well with the tree. I like the last two photos of the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and the Blackbird. I will come back to your survey link later. Take care! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thanks for the comment on my blog.

  6. Hello Anu. Yes I found both woodpeckers - the Lesser spotted and the Great-spotted. The Lesser is now very rare in the UK, but not the Great spotted.

  11. Pikkutikka on ihana lintu. Näitkö pikkutikan puolisoa? Meillä on käynyt päivittäin monta kuukautta naaras pikkutikka ruokinnalla. Viime vuonna pihassa oli pariskunta;-)) Täällä on mahtunut hyvin lintuja tiirailemaan;-)

    1. Hei Anne. Kiitos kommentista. Näin vain tämän yhden pikkutikan. Varmasti niitä on siinä kaksi, mutta en vain nähnyt.

  15. Maalla asumisessa on omat hyvätkin puolensa. Toistaiseksi on säästytty viruksilta.

  18. Stop in from Hootin Annie. Your trees pretty much look like those in North Idaho.
If you have time stop in for a cup of coffee
