Jatkuva vesisade on aiheuttanut Etelä-Suomessa tulvia. 12.10 sateettomana hetkenä otin muutamia kuvia tulvista. Kuvat saa isommaksi klikkaamalla hiirellä jotakin kuvaa.

Punavarpunen on ihan yleinen lintu Suomessa. Punavarpuskuvat otin 16.6. ja 18.6.

Continuous rain has caused flooding in southern Finland. I photographed these photos 12.10. The photos may be a larger photo by clicking with the mouse on one of the photos.

The Common Rosefinch is a common bird in Finland. I photographed these photos of Rosefinch in 16.6 ja 18.6.

Poikasia

On satanut vettä lähes taukoamatta päivästä toiseen. Vantaanjoki ja Longinoja tulvivat. Kävely- ja pyörätiet, osa pelloista ja metsäplänteistä ovat veden vallassa. En ole nähnyt Viikinmäki, Pihlajisto ja Savela alueilla tällaisia tulvia aiemmin, vaikka kevättulvat ovat toisinaan olleet huikeita. 

 Mielen piristykseksi postaan muutamia poikaskuvia, joita otin 18.6.

Töyhtöhyyppä kerää poikaset vatsansa alle. The Northern Lapwing collects chicks below its belly.

It is raining almost constantly day after day. Near my home, Vantaa River and Longinoja are flooded. I have not seen such floods in the past, although the spring floods are, at times, been a huge.

I have not photographed in the last few days – so I post some cute birdphotos from the day 18.6.

Jouhisorsa

Tässä muutamia kuvia jouhisorsista (Anas acuta). Kuvasin jo 23.9. Viikissä.

Jouhisorsat ovat kauniin näköisiä. Näistä kuvista en kykene erottaa onko toinen naaras ja toinen koiras. Koiras näyttää syksyllä hyvin samannäköiseltä kuin naaras. 

Vasemmassa reunassa kaksi sorsaa ovat erikoisen näköisiä. Two ducks on the left side are very strange looking.

Jouhisorsa on erittäin uhanalainen laji. Erittäin uhanalainen tarkoittaa, että ”se ei täytä äärimmäisen uhanalaisen kriteerejä, mutta siihen kohdistuu erittäin suuri uhka lähitulevaisuudessa hävitä” (Birdlife)

Jouhisorsia pesii Suomessa noin 8000 – 16 000 paria.

I took these photos (23.9) of Northern pintail at the conservation area of Viikki. The Northern pintail is very beautiful. I don’t know are these two female and male. The male seem similar than female in the autumn.

In Finland northern pintail is endangered (High risk of extinction in the wild), but globally it is least concern. The Finnish breeding population is about 8000 – 16 000 pairs.
