17.11 aamulla varhain Viikin pelloilla oli paljon kauriita.

Hulevesialtaalla oli sorsien lisäksi pari haapanaa.

Wigeon

20.11 kiersin Lammassaaren. Näin ainakin uiveloita, tukkasotkia, isokoskeloita, laulujoutsenia, kanahaukan, variksia, punatulkkuja, käpytikan ja mustarastaita. Linnut olivat niin kaukana, että en saanut niistä kunnon kuvia. Tässä muutama kuva sinitintistä kaisloissa aamuauringossa.

17.11 in the early morning there were a lot of deer in the fields of Viikki. In the water were mallards and two wigeons.

20.11 I walked in Lammassaari (“Island of sheeps”). I saw Smews, Tufted Ducks, Goosanders, swans, Goshawk, Hooded Crows, Eurasian Bullfinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Blackbirds. The birds were so far away, that it was hard to photograph them. Here are a few photos of Blue Tit and beautiful reeds in the morning sun.

Vihdoinkin tänään oli valoisaa. Aurinko jopa paistoi. Pientä pakkasta.

Riding prohibited

Täydellinen keli käydä katsomassa Vanhankaupunginkoskella koskikaraa (Cinclus cinclus). Koskikara on yksi lemppari linnuistani.

Olen lukenut jostakin, että nämä täällä talvehtivat koskikarat ovat norjalaisia.

At last, today was a bright and sunny day. Little bit below zero. I went to see the White-throated Dipper in Vanhankaupunginkoski. I’ve read somewhere that these wintering White-throated Dippers are nesting in Norway. It is one of my favorite bird.
