Aamuhavaintoja

Tänään aamulla Viikissä parhain havainto oli mustapyrstökuiri – jota en olisi edes havainnut ilman muiden harrastajien apua. Kahlaajia ei ole vielä kovin paljon. Haviksia tälle vuodelle 59.

Aamulla. Today morning.

Klobbenilla melko iso parvi merimetsoja pyrkii valloittamaan harmaahaikaroiden pesintäpuut. Kiintoisaa nähdä onnistuvatko.

Grey herons, Lesser Black-backed Gull, European Herring gull. Harmaahaikaroita, sekälokki ja harmaalokki.

Black bird in the air is Great Cormorant. Merimetso syöksähti häiritsemään lintuja.

Isokoskelo. Goosander.

Common Snipe. Taivaanvuohi.

Today morning in the Viikki Nature Reserve area, the best bird I saw, was the Black-tailed Godwit. The other birders helped me to see it. Quite a big flock of cormorants is trying to conquer the Grey Herons nesting trees. Interesting to see how it goes. 

 

Waders are still not very much. I have only 59 bird species in my year list.

Tässä muutama kuva viime toukokuulta. Vanhankaupunginkoskella lokit saalistelivat kaloja. Lokit ovat kauniita lintuja ja taitavia lentämään. Alla kuvassa vedessä näkyy myös hyppäävä iso kala.

Kevät tuo tullessaan muuttoparvet. Lintuverkossa jaettiin kiva linkki sivustoon, jossa voi testata omaa kykyä laskea lintuparvista yksilömäärät:

Minä laskin testin kaikkiin parviin liian alhaiset lukumäärät, kuten yleensä teen myös tässä tosielämässä. Vaatii paljon harjoittelua vielä.

Here are a few photos from last May. The Gulls are on the Vanhankaupunginkoski rabids, Helsinki. There are also one big fish in the water in that first photo. The Gulls are beautiful birds.

Spring brings the migratory flocks. Now is good time test the bird counting skills. Here is one test:

In that test I always count too low numbers as I usually do also in real life. I need a lot of practice…
