Eilen
aurinko nousi kello 08.08. Olin Viikin pelloilla. Valkoposkihanhiparvi lensi
pelloille.
Liikkeellä
olivat viherpeipot, tiaiset, närhet, västäräkit, kanahaukka ja useita muitakin
lajeja. Neljä metsäkaurista kulki kauempana pellon reunalla.
Keltasirkkuja
oli runsain parvin. Kuvassa rengastettu yksilö.

Kun
aurinko nousi korkeammalle, puut hohtivat kauniissa väreissä.
Yesterday the Sun came up at
08.08 am. I was at the field of Viikki. The flock of Barnacle goose flew
into the fields. There were also a lot of Greenfinch, Tits, Jays, White
wagtails, Yellowhammers and some other birds too.
I saw four Roe Deers
on the edge of the field. When the Sun was higher, the trees glowed
in beautiful colors.

PoistaIt would be so interesting to know where the Yellowhammer was ringed. Maybe there is a ringing station near you?
VastaaPoistaHello Phil. Thank you for your comment. It may be that the bird was ringed in the local area. The forest around the field is a nature reserve area. It is a ringing area too.
PoistaOn the other hand, there were a lot of yellowhammer flocks. So, it means that the some of them have become there from somewhere else…

PoistaWe see the odd Barnacle Goose here and there is always doubt as to whether it is a wild bird or an escape from a wildfowl collection. Either way it is a gorgeous goose!
