Lintuja ruokinnalla - Birds in the feeding place

English text is the bottom of the post.

Viikinmäen ruokinnalla ei edelleenkään mitään ihmeellistä.

Talitiainen. Great Tit.

Paikalla on käynyt yksi talvehtimaan jäänyt peippo. Yksi rengastettu sinitiainen on paikalla. En vielä ole onnistunut kuvaamaan sen rengasta siten, että saisin sen tiedot ylös.

Punarinta. European Robin.

Mustarastaalla on huolestuttavan paljon valkoista höyhenissä. The Blackbird has a lot of white colour in its feathers. It is not a good thing.

Lintuhavaintoja Viikinmäellä on tälle vuodelle 24. Sisältää kolme ohitse lennellyttä harmaalokkia ja 9 yli lentänyttä laulujoutsenta.

Sinitintti. Blue Tit.

Nämä kuvat olen ottanut Viikinmäen ruokinnalla tällä viikolla. Kuvat saa isommaksi klikkaamalla hiirellä jotakin kuvaa.

There is still nothing amazing in Viikinmäki's feeding place. There has been one wintering Common Chaffinch. One ringed Blue Tit is present.  I still have not succeeded in photographing its ring so that I could get its data up. I have seen 24 species in Viikinmäki this year. Includes three overfloed Herring Gull and 9 over-flying Whooper Swan.

These photos I have shot in Viikinmäki’s feeding place in this week.

  5. Great to give the birds a helping hand. The weather forecast is pretty dire for the weekend so I will make sure that all my feeders are topped up.

  12. They look quite amazing to me Anu. Beautiful birds. Why is it bad that the blackbird has some white feathers? Is it a sign of disease?

    1. Hello Sallie. Thank you for your comment.

The white colour in blackbirds feather mean usually that it’s feathers are weak. These feathers can break down. So, it is a sign of disease. Usually the reason for that kind of white colour is wrong nutrition during its adolescence.
People may have feeded the bird for example with bread – bread and other people’s food is not good for growing bird.
