Hanhet ja haikara

English text is the bottom of Finnish text.

Harmaahaikara on vasemmassa reunassa ylhäällä. There are the Grey heron in the left side.

The sight of the large migration flocks are huge experience and great to watch. There have been thousands of geese at the Nature Reserve Area of Viikki. Mainly Barnacle Gooses and Canada Gooses.

One day in last week I saw one Grey Heron trying to landing in the middle of the goose flocks. There was a temporary chaos when gooses shooed Grey heron away.

  1. I translated each line in "Google translate" and then realised you had the English version at the end :-)

The translated version was confusing as halfway through google changed the heron into a stork :-) I was looking closely at the photos trying to see the stork.

I have not seen that many geese since I lived in Scotland. Wonderful!

  2. Heh! Miten hauska tilanne!

  4. When I lived in the North of England, I always knew summer was really over when the geese arrived. I used to rather like it if the truth be told.
