Tänään
aamulla Viikissä parhain havainto oli mustapyrstökuiri – jota en olisi edes
havainnut ilman muiden harrastajien apua. Kahlaajia ei ole vielä kovin paljon.
Haviksia tälle vuodelle 59.

Aamulla. Today morning. |
Klobbenilla
melko iso parvi merimetsoja pyrkii valloittamaan harmaahaikaroiden pesintäpuut.
Kiintoisaa nähdä onnistuvatko.
|
Grey herons, Lesser Black-backed Gull, European Herring gull. Harmaahaikaroita, sekälokki ja harmaalokki. |
|
Black bird in the air is Great Cormorant. Merimetso syöksähti häiritsemään lintuja. |
|
Isokoskelo. Goosander. |
|
Common Snipe. Taivaanvuohi. |
Tämän laulujoutsenen kuvasin jo 28.3. Se on saanut
reiän otsaansa.
|
Swan has hole in its forehead. Photo I took 28.3. |

Today morning in the Viikki
Nature Reserve area, the best bird I saw, was the Black-tailed Godwit. The
other birders helped me to see it. Quite a big
flock of cormorants is trying to conquer the Grey Herons nesting trees.
Interesting to see how it goes.
Waders are still
not very much. I have only 59 bird species in my year list.
Hello, Anu! Wonderful sightings of the deer and birds. Poor swan, I wonder what happened to it's head. Your dog Malla is a cutie. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend! PS, thanks so much for leaving me a comment.
VastaaPoistaHello Eileen. Thank you for your comment. The swan - maybe another bird has hit the hole. Sad thing.
PoistaGreat photos. The swan, poor thing. We have a deer with a dislocated knee. It pains me to watch.
VastaaPoistaI like the graylags, in the previous post. We have a couple around here!

PoistaNice pictures. Hope the swan is ok. I think it's a Whooper Swan.
VastaaPoistaHello Adam. Yes, it is a Whooper Swan. It was alone when I saw it. Not good. I think that another bird has hit the hole...

VastaaPoistaHello Bill. Thank you for your comment. I think that another bird has hit the hole, but I am not sure... The Whooper Swan was alone and it is not a good thing.
PoistaHi Anu.You may have only 59 so far but just think of all the goodies to come any day now. Yes the cormorants versus the herons will make for interesting viewing.

VastaaPoistaI like seeing your returning birds Anu. I’m glad Spring is coming. I hope the cormorants do not disturb the heron nests. I like the goosanders. That poor swan, I wonder what happened to it?
VastaaPoistaThank you Sallie for your comment. I think that another bird has hit the swan, but I am not sure.
Poista59 species is a lot if you ask me. Don´t think I have more then 30 :( I think they are just passing by my place.
VastaaPoistaOnpas hyvät lintumestat! Tänään taas lähitornille! Siellä on lähinnä lokkeja, nokikanoja, joutsenia, telkkiä ja kurkia!
