Eilen
aamulla Lammassaareen kulkiessa eniten äänessä olivat ruokokerttuset, pensaskertut
ja punavarpuset.
Kuvissa
pensaskerttu (Sylvia communis).
Linkitän postaukseni: Wild Bird Wednesday
Yesterday morning when I walked to the Lammassaari (a little
island in the Nature reserve area of Viikki), the most vociferous birds were
Sedge Warblers, Common Whitethroats and Common Rosefinches.
In my photos is Common Whitethroat (Sylvia communis).

PoistaOnpas asettunut näkyvälle paikalle laulamaan. Niin kun tekisivätkin kaikki ;)
VastaaPoistaOnneksi pensaskertut laulavat näkyvillä paikoilla :) Kuvissa on kolme eri yksilöä.
PoistaKauniit kuvat pensaskertusta.
VastaaPoistaKiitos Anne.

VastaaPoistaThank you.
PoistaNice photos of the Common Whitethroat! I've never seen one before but I notice it has a very prominent eye ring.
PoistaThank you Larry. The Common Whitethroat male has a strong white eye ring.
PoistaNice work. I too have a Whitethroat on my latest blog post. There are lots in song now in the UK.
VastaaPoistaThank you Phil.
PoistaThe Whitethroat is well-named. I like the way the feathers of its throat puff out as it sings. Our Carolina Wrens also exhibit a trait like this. The best way to find them in a thicket is to look for the pulsating white throat as it sings.
VastaaPoistaThank you Kenneth for your comment.
PoistaGreat shots - I miss seeing this summer migrants.
VastaaPoistaCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
